The radial drilling machine is mainly composed of base, inner column, outer column, rocker arm, spindle box and worktable. The inner column is fixed at one end of the base, and an outer column is sleeved outside it. The outer column can rotate 360 degrees around the inner column. One end of the rocker arm is a sleeve, which is sleeved on the outer column to move up and down. Since the screw rod is connected with the outer column as a whole, and the lifting nut is fixed on the rocker arm, the rocker arm cannot rotate around the outer column, but can only rotate around the inner column together with the outer column. Headstock is a composite component, which is composed of main drive motor, spindle and spindle drive mechanism, feed and speed change mechanism, operating mechanism of machine tool and so on. The headstock is installed on the horizontal guide rail of the rocker arm and can be operated by the hand wheel to move along the rocker arm on the horizontal guide rail.
When processing, the spindle box is fastened on the rocker guide rail by a special tightening device, while the outer column is fastened on the inner column, and the rocker arm is fastened on the outer column, and then drilling is carried out. During drilling, the drill bit performs rotary cutting and longitudinal feeding at the same time. Its motion form is as follows:
